We should get this straight so we can avoid any misunderstandings and accusations later on. A person's personal beliefs are not necessarily the same as a person's social beliefs( his beliefs on how others or society should be). I myself harbor some fairly extreme and radical views but that doesn't mean I believe those beliefs apply to everyone or that society should follow them. The same phenomenon can be seen when it comes to voting; when asked to vote on whether smoking should be allowed people will think, and vote, in one of two ways: he will either think whether HE believes he should(n't) smoke or he will think whether he believes OTHERS should(n't) smoke.

It may not be the most effective way to get my point across but it's all I have right now. Unfortunately, experiences shows that most people are simply too stupid to heed this or simply understand so I fully expect the usual accusations and misguided hatred later.
